The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has publicly praised Professor Ishaq Oloyede, Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), for his transparent handling of the recent UTME technical failures, while insisting on strict supervision for the upcoming exam retake scheduled for June 15-20.
Following JAMB’s announcement that 12,437 affected candidates will get a free retake opportunity after system failures disrupted their initial exams, NANS leaders acknowledged Oloyede’s rare public apology and accountability, but stressed that “proper oversight must now ensure this second chance doesn’t become another disappointment.”
The student union is demanding:
